Today is your lucky day if you’re an owner of Walmart’s Onn 4K or Onn 4K Pro streaming boxes. Android 14 is rolling out right now, and this update skips over Android 13 from Android 12, bringing your device (almost) fully up-to-date.
After prematurely listing it for sale earlier this month, Walmart is finally ready to sell you the Onn 4K Plus streamer for real this time. The latest in Walmart’s Google TV set-top box lineup has some impressive features for only $30.
After leaking in April, the Onn 4K Plus streamer is now listed on Walmart's web store. It isn't available for purchase just yet, but at $30, it looks like it might be the perfect Google TV box for my guest room.
Good-looking TVs come in all sizes and price points, and they're getting bigger with each new release. Manufacturers like Samsung, Sony, TCL, and more are all making crazy 8K TVs or pushing sizes over 100 inches. That's nice, but it's not what most people need. I want a better TV, not a bigger one.
A lot of Android phones have so far received their respective update to Android 15, but if you have something Android-powered that's not a smartphone or a tablet, your mileage may vary. TVs are still on Android 14, but it's increasingly looking like Google might just skip the Android 15 update for Google TV and Android TV-powered devices.
